Since she was a child in her native Puerto Rico, Rosi sang all the time. Her performer parents passed on to her their love for performance; her Nuyorican mom sang and acted on Broadway and her Argentine dad was a radio host for Voice of America. Rosi is a professional Latin singer, fronting her national-touring award-winning band, Sol y Canto, and others for the past 27 years with her husband, composer/guitarist Brian Amador. Along the way folks in her adopted city of Cambridge, Massachusetts starting approaching her to do bilingual voice-overs for hospitals, for audio books, for TV spots, for commercials, and that’s how she discovered her passion for using her distinctive voice to narrate all kinds of messages meant to inspire, entertain, motivate or educate, for clients like PBS, Comcast, National Geographic, Boston Medical Center and Live Oak Media; she’s the voice in Spanish on all Motorola and Blackberry phones. Her clients commend Rosi for her natural, conversational style, her acting ability, flexible working style and her willingness to put clients’ needs first, but most importantly, for her ability to speak both English and Spanish with absolutely no accent (unless one is requested!), her willingness to provide translation services and to easily catch script errors that only a native speaker is able to note. She is thrilled to be a voice-over actor.
We auditioned several voice talents over a fairly long period of time and finally struck gold when we found Rosi. From the start, it was obvious that she was head and shoulders above the rest. She is completely confident in her skin, and this confidence combined with just the right amount of warmth and friendliness came across superbly in her voice. On top of all that, she is also very coachable and able to follow direction effortlessly.
