Ron Jackson first stepped into a television broadcast studio at the age of 8 and he’s been performing on stage, on camera &; microphone, and on demand ever since.
His work as a news anchor lead to his appointment as the youngest television news director in a top 100 market and later five years as the drive time anchor for Houston’s KPRC-AM radio.
Working as the staff announcer for several TV stations, he’s adept at live-tag and image work. He’s known for being able to put that extra bit of copy in on-time, without sounding too rushed.
Ron Jackson has also enjoyed an active career as an actor and voice talent, appearing in or directing countless plays, commercials, industrial productions, and music videos.
His Radio/VO credits have included on-going stints for Honda Motorcycles, Astros, Oshman’s, and numerous auto dealers and other retailers. He’s proud to have been in several campaigns for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Exxon, and Shell.
He has done regional commercial and industrial work for numerous retail and product driven entities.
Ron shines in dialog work, and his voice fits characters broadly or tightly drawn.
In the studio he is fresh no matter how many takes; but prides himself in being able to deliver quickly and saving production time.
Mr. Jackson’s professional accolades include the advertising world’s prestigious Mobious Award for radio advertising, the record for most continuous performances in Houston, and is in demand for his training &; coaching of actors and other public speakers.
