Sylvia Armendariz is currently in Louisiana RIVKA. Characterized by production personnel as a sweeping saga, this series is being made primarily for women who have converted to Christianity in North Africa and the Middle East, but is also expected to have a theatrical release. The action takes place in 1st century Judea and concerns a community of friends and neighbors facing oppression as they struggle everyday to survive.

Machete, the newest Robert Rodriguez film, begins shooting Monday Aug. 3 in Austin with Pastorini-Bosby Talent JASON DOUGLAS. Produced by Quentin Tarantino, it tells the story of Machete, a highly skilled Federale who is hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he's about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he's been set up. He barely survives the sniper's bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence. If you hire him to take out the bad guys, make sure the bad guys aren't you!
