| Sharon Murphy |
Sharon Murphy, a native Houstonian, began her career in theatre. She was in the first graduating class of the Alley Theatre's acting school, she worked at several theatres around town, and then went to L.A. to pursue a film career.
Acting in several shorts and student films with some soon to be well known filmmakers peaked her interest in what goes on behind the camera. After several classes at USC, UCLA and the Art Center in L.A., she returned to Houston to complete her undergraduate degree with the plan of getting a masters in film. During that time she produced THE LITTLE OLE SHOW on the NBC affilliate in Houston, was an on-air director for the first cable station in Houston and worked at an ad agency.
Life intervened however and a marriage and three children turned her into an executive wife whose passion was film, but just as an audience member.
Twenty years later Sharon returned to the work force. She joined Pastorini-Bosby as an agent in training and was quickly promoted to full agent. She remains in that position today with 11 years experience and still learning. Sharon has always loved film and is grateful that she gets to work within that genre almost everyday. Sharon has three grown children, 2 grandchildren and still loves movies. She is on the Board of Directors of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance and a member of WIFT Houston.
